Glass wire - wound platinum resistance temperature detector elements are fabricated by wrapping a double-strand platinum wire around a glass core and then fusing the exterior to the glass. They are suitable for temperatures from -200℃ to 500℃. The basic values and tolerances of resistance temperature detectors conform to IEC 60751.
